Amy's 4-Step Full Face Approach
Amy uses a 4- stage approach to planning a full-face approach to treatments. At consultation, the 4 core elements are:
- Patient values and treatment goals
- Skin Quality
- Anatomy and Structure
- Facial Harmony
These elements will always enable a full assessment, which when looking to improve the overall face shape and definition is essential. Face shape may have changed over time or there may be a preexisting asymmetry or feature which patient may wish to be enhanced.
HOW CAN WE ENHANCE OR RESTORE FACE SHAPE and DEFINITION?
Treatments for face shape and definition are usually combination treatments which would be outlined in a pre-discussed full treatment plan.
Areas of full face treatment often include standalone treatments as needed or a combination of any of the following:
-Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers to the : Cheek, Midface, Jawline, Jowl, Chin
-Muscle-relaxing injections to muscles of facial expression and the masseter muscle of the jawline
We look to replace lost or naturally disproportional bone and soft tissue with the most appropriate filler thickness for the most effective and natural appearance.
Dermal filler can be injected using a combination of safe needle and cannula techniques to create and sharpened jawline, mandibular angle and well-proportioned chin.
Whether it be to masculinise the male face to produce a squarer stronger jawline or to feminise the female face to create and more oval or "upside-down" triangle of youth, treatment to this area can enhance the overall facial appearance.
Restoration and Rejuvenation - as part of the natural ageing process fat deposits are redistributed in the face. In women this can change the face from a feminine inverted triangle shape to a more masculine square appearance. As 'jowls' develop definition to the jaw line can be lost leading to a dissatisfying appearance. Using high density filler contour can be returned to the jawline, restoring a youthful appearance. When planned and placed correctly in this region, filler treatment can create a slimming effect or balance your front or side profile with effects ranging from subtle enhancement to transformational change.
WHAT DOES TREATMENT INVOLVE?
Hyaluronic acid dermal filler treatments are simple but delicate procedures where Amy uses both cannula and needle techniques for maximal safety alongside precision. We can numb you with numbing creams if desired to ensure minimal discomfort and bruising, allowing us to sculpt the cheeks, jawline, jowl and chin to the desired shape and definition.
Treatments using dermal filler have downtime, and the results are immediate, meaning patients no longer have surgery as their only option.
Treatments with Botox are incredibly safe, quick and easy and are hugely effective in debunking over-worked facial muscles effecting face shape and overlying skin quality/appearance.
As an experienced dentist with extensive oral surgery experience, Amy is familiar with facial proportions, angles and projections. Amy has worked alongside other medical and dental professionals including oral and maxillofacial surgeons and orthodontists to offer alternatives to surgical procedures which may not be possible, suitable or desired. Surgical treatments have the advantage of being permanent but can be invasive, non-reversible and aren’t suitable, nor possible for all.
